FAQ

Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions at Watson Road Veterinary Clinic! We have included some helpful links from the AVMA and AHAA to help education our clients on the importance of services like the annual exam, yearly vaccinations, Dental care, and more!

Why do my pets need a yearly physical?

Every year your pet needs to come in for an annual exam (meaning a full head to tail checkup) in order to stay current with their Veterinary-Client-Patient-Relationship or VCPR! Without this exam, we legally cannot refill medications, offer any medical advice over the phone, or have your patient in for a drop off, Dental, or Surgery. If your pet is on a specific medication, we may need to see them and run bloodwork every 3-6 months to ensure that the medication is working properly, or if we need to do a dosage change. Having a healthy baseline for your pet's health is key to making sure that we can offer them the most effective treatment.

For more information on the VCPR, check out what the AVMA has to say: Here!
